By working with VODASUN®, lease agreements are concluded for a period of 20 years, with the option of extending them twice by 5 years each time. During the term of the lease, the land undergoes a period of non-cultivation. This rest period allows the soil to recover and improve its fertility.

In order for a PV system on your open space to pay off, certain conditions must be met:

  • The area: Your land must be at least five hectares in size in order to be able to lease the agricultural land for solar.
  • Solar radiation: The orientation and shading of the area play a role here. For you to be able to lease your open space for photovoltaics, continuous sunlight would be ideal.
  • Access & accessibility: This aspect is relevant for maintenance. However, the distance to the nearest line connection also plays a role.
