FAQ - The most frequently asked questions

Solar electricity

A photovoltaic system with an output of 10 kWp can generate around 10 kWh of energy per day in the winter months, while in the summer months it can generate up to 50 kWh per day. It is important to note that the energy yield also depends on factors such as the orientation, the angle of inclination and the exact location of the system.

A photovoltaic system with a capacity of 10 kWp is capable of generating an annual average of around 9,000 to 11,000 kWh of electricity. However, this yield varies and depends on various aspects, such as the orientation of the system, the efficiency of the solar modules and the specific solar conditions in the respective region.

Yes! You can significantlyreduce your energy costs by investing in a photovoltaic system.
The solar power generated can be used for a variety of appliances in the home, workshop or office.

Yes! Regardless of the time of year, the use of a solar system is undoubtedly worthwhile! Regardless of the time of year, the use of a solar system is undoubtedly worthwhile!

Hereyou find out which decisive factors are important for the optimum utilisation of a photovoltaic system during the winter period.

If a thin layer of snow covers the solar system, it can still generate electricity, but not with maximum efficiency. If the snow cover is thicker, it is advisable to hire a specialist to remove it in order to prevent damage to the system.

The cost of a photovoltaic system depends on your specific needs. It is helpful to know your annual electricity consumption in order to determine the necessary requirements for the system. A customised offer can be created on this basis.

The investment for a turnkey solar system without battery storage starts at around €11,000. You should calculate an entry-level price of around €15,000 for a photovoltaic system including storage. However, it should be noted that the final cost may vary depending on your individual requirements and the equipment chosen.

The estimated costs for a 10 kWp photovoltaic system start at around € 20,000. The final price depends on the number of modules required and your specific wishes.

From 1 January 2023, the funding opportunities for private solar systems have been significantly expanded.
The state now offers various forms of support:

  • Exemption from VAT (19 %) on the purchase of solar systems
  • Price reduction for larger solar systems up to 30 kWp for private users
  • No taxes on self-consumed electricity
  • Feed-in tariff for solar systems up to 10 kWp at 8.1 cents per kWh
  • Various loan and subsidy programmes at federal, state and municipal level

At VODASUN, we are experts in this field and will be happy to help you find and utilise the appropriate subsidies - this way.

One or two decades ago, the feed-in tariffs for solar power were much more attractive, although photovoltaic systems were much more expensive and less efficient at the time.

Today, these systems have become much cheaper and more efficient. In addition, the current high electricity prices are motivating many people to become less dependent on electricity suppliers by installing their own photovoltaic system. Despite falling feed-in tariffs for solar power, it can be particularly advantageous to start using solar energy today.

With a guaranteed feed-in tariff for 20 years and our comprehensive carefree package, you are not taking any risks. You are protected from unpleasant surprises and can calculate your financial savings precisely.

The solar industry is actively working on optimising recycling processes and minimising the environmental impact of solar systems. Manufacturers are legally obliged to recycle both solar modules and battery storage systems. The manufacturers take solar modules free of charge and ensure that they are reintegrated into the raw material cycle.

Electricity feed-in

The so-called surplus feed-in of unused electricity is generally possible. With the help of a power of attorney, which can be submitted via our solar configurator, we will enquire about this option for you with your local grid operator.

With the help of a power of attorney, which can be submitted via our solar configurator, we will enquire about this option for you with your local grid operator.

The provisions for the feed-in tariff are determined by your local grid operator.
For further information, please contact your regional network operator directly.

He can give you more precise information about whether the payments are made monthly or annually.

As soon as your photovoltaic system is commissioned, a bidirectional meter is usually installed. This meter measures the electricity fed into the grid, which is then billed by the grid operator.

The feed-in tariff generally starts from the time the photovoltaic system is commissioned and not from the time of registration with your grid operator. So you don't have to worry about missing out on rewards, even if the registration process takes a little longer.

Installation & Registration

Both the building and the roof truss must be stable and in good condition to bear the additional load of the solar system. If your roof is in need of renovation, you will receive a free roof renovation from VODASUN® if you have a roof area of at least 1000 m².

In principle, a three-phase electrical system is required for the installation of a photovoltaic system. This is already installed in most houses and the installation can be carried out without major difficulties. If this is not the case, we will be happy to commission a specialist partner.

During the 13-year history of VODASUN, we have built up an impressive series of successfully realised photovoltaic projects. Our dedication to sustainable solutions and renewable energy has earned us a reputation as a reliable and reputable company in the industry. Well-known customers such as NürnbergMesse, Messe Berlin and Meissen-Porzellan already rely on our expertise.

Of course! Even after the installation of your solar system, we at VODASUN are available for maintenance and service enquiries. If it is necessary to replace components, we will check for you whether any warranty claims still exist with the manufacturer and inform you of the next necessary steps.

Once the installation work on the roof has been completed and the photovoltaic system has been fully installed, it normally only takes a few days to a few weeks before the system is ready for operation. We will keep you informed about the exact date of commissioning.

Don't worry, to make the bureaucratic hurdles easier for you, we offer you the option of granting us a power of attorney. With this authorisation, we take over the entire process of registering your solar installation with the grid operator and in the market master data register for you.

We will immediately register your photovoltaic system with the responsible grid operator. The processing time may vary and depends on the respective network operator.
